change your mind, change your life

Find Your North Star: The One Thing That Changes Everything

Let me say something I wish someone had told me years ago:

Finding your North Star is the most productive thing you can do in your entire life.

Not checking things off a to-do list.
Not grinding for the next win.
Not even hitting that shiny milestone you think will finally make you feel successful.

Because if you don’t know where you’re going, what really matters to you, you’re just wandering. And trust me, I know what that feels like.

I was walking through my days like a zombie. Busy, sure. But disconnected. Unfulfilled. I didn’t have a real direction. I didn’t have clarity. I was making moves, but I wasn’t getting anywhere.

That all changed when I found my coach.
And eventually, when I became a coach.

Now I mentor other creatives, and like-minded people through this same process. And I’m telling you, the moment you define your North Star, everything clicks into place.

Let’s talk about what that actually means, and how it can change your life.

What Is Your North Star?

Your North Star is your truest goal. The one that aligns with your values, your rhythm, your potential, and your purpose.

It’s the goal that keeps you up at night because you want to work on it.
It’s the one you can’t stop thinking about.
It’s the one that makes your heart race a little when you talk about it.

It becomes your personal compass. Your internal GPS.

Every decision you make, every project you say yes to, every habit you build, it’s all filtered through this one thing. And when you have that level of clarity?

You stop wasting time.

You stop second-guessing.

You get out of reaction mode and into alignment.

But First, You Have to Be Honest

Let’s start simple:

Think of a goal you want to achieve in life.
Write it down.

Now pause.
Ask yourself:

  • How does this goal serve me?

  • Where does it fit in my life right now?

  • Is it doable?

  • And most importantly, do I actually want it?

This is where most people get stuck.

Because here’s the truth: 50% of people don’t actually know what they want.

They chase borrowed goals.
Stuff that looks good on paper.
Goals that used to matter… but don’t anymore.

So take a moment. Look at your goal again.
Ask yourself, Is this what I really want?

Go deeper. Make it messy. Let it be uncomfortable. This is where the good stuff lives.

The Goal That Doesn’t Move You… Isn’t Yours

Let me give you an example.

There was a time when my goal was to make a million dollars.

I worked for it.
I achieved it.
So naturally, I made it my goal again.

But here’s what happened:
Nothing.
No momentum. No fire. No progress.

Because I’d already done it. And deep down, it wasn’t what I wanted anymore.

I had to go back and reimagine what success looked like for this version of me.

That’s when I found a new goal—one that lit me up, one I couldn’t stop thinking about. One that made me forget to eat lunch or take a break because I was so locked in.

That’s how you know you’ve found it.

If your goal gives you a little anxiety, makes your palms sweat in the best way?
Good. You’re close.

If your goal feels dreadful, like a chore?
Let it go. That’s not your North Star.

But if your goal makes you forget time…
If it pulls you toward it, even on hard days…
If it makes you want to get up early and stay up late—because it matters that much?

That’s it. That’s your North Star.

My North Star? It’s This.

It’s building this school.
Creating these courses.
Mentoring people like you who are done feeling directionless, and ready to build something real.

I’m building a space to teach the hand skills that actually change lives and businesses.
Skills that help you stand out, communicate clearly, and reclaim your creative power.

This mission? It gets me up in the morning.
I don’t want to stop. I don’t want to slow down.

Even when it’s hard.
Even when it’s messy.
Especially when it’s uncomfortable.

Because I love it.

And when you find your North Star, you’ll feel that too.

Ready to Find Yours?

I teach a 2-hour workshop where we go deep into this process, because sometimes you need help untangling your thoughts. Sometimes you need someone to hold the space and guide you toward clarity.
