Create Professional Architectural Illustrations by Hand
A Skillset That Brings Ideas to Life With Purpose and Personality
| texas based illustration Studio
Interior designers want a visual process that keeps up with the rhythm of their work, one that supports quick thinking, clear communication, and the creative expression that often gets pushed aside when time is tight.
What they’re seeking is a way to show ideas in the moment, in their own style, without relying on visuals that feel rushed or generic.
Confident Hand Skills
Clear Creative Process
Distinctive Illustration Style
Most interior designers think beautifully…
But end up presenting through visuals that feel standard or disconnected from their creative process.
When the images that represent a project can only come from software or an outsourced rendering, the designer’s natural way of thinking, quick, intuitive, spatial, never fully comes through.
The workflow becomes more restricted, less creative, and less reflective of how designers naturally solve design problems.
Confident Hand Skills
Skills that make drawing feel doable, even on a busy schedule.
Clear Creative Process
A straightforward way to think and work on paper that saves time.
Distinctive Illustration Style
A look that reflects the designer’s own design voice, not the software’s.
I understand how full a designer’s day can be
client needs, creative decisions, and constant problem-solving all happening at once.
Anything new has to feel simple, relevant, and workable within the way designers already think and design.
Taught 1000’s of interior designers how to use hand skills in their interior design process and make it work for them.
3 professional degrees, a bachelor in interior design, a master in interior design, and a bachelor in art, plus over a decade of teaching designers, I know how to break this skill down using the 80/20 rule so you learn only what you actually need.
Brought back creativity and energy to the interior design industry for over a decade by teaching hand skills to other professional designers.
Foundations is a five-module course that teaches the core hand skills interior designers need to work through ideas quickly and clearly.
It focuses on the essentials, sketching, drafting, drawing, and rendering, taught in a simple, practical way that fits a designer’s real schedule.

What You’ll Learn Inside the Foundations
-
Many interior designers jump into a project without a clear formula, which leads to avoidable problems and missed steps.
Interior design is a methodical process, and knowing where hand skills actually belong makes the entire workflow smoother.
This module breaks down the process and shows exactly how hand drawing fits into each stage so ideas stay clear and projects stay on track.
-
Sketching is the core of interior design, yet many designers avoid it because they don’t know how to sketch in perspective or feel unsure about where to start.
This module teaches perspective in a clear, simple way that finally makes sense, so designers can sketch any idea they have and communicate it properly with everyone involved in the project.
-
Computer drafting takes time and forces every idea into rigid steps, but hand drafting lets designers focus only on the information that matters.
It brings back the professional creative style designers used long before software, something clients still love.
This approach supports quick decisions, keeps the process flexible, and results in accurate drawings that reflect the way designers naturally think through a space.
-
Many interior designers assume drawing and sketching are the same, but they serve completely different purposes.
Sketching is freehand and fast; drawing uses tools to refine ideas after they’ve been approved.
This module explains the difference and shows designers how to use drawing in the right stage of the process so time isn’t wasted jumping into precision work too early.
-
Adding color is the icing on the cake, but most interior designers buy a set of markers and have no idea how to actually use them.
This module teaches the essential techniques, marker strokes, patterns, and recreating finishes, so designers can render their projects with ease and confidence.
It’s a clear, practical approach to creating beautiful hand renderings that support the design and feel personal to the designer’s style.
