About Shannin

I'm Shannin. For over a decade, I've taught practicing interior designers how to add hand-sketching to their process, not to become artists, but to become more fully themselves as designers. The kind who can see a shape they love and develop it into something original, instead of reaching for a catalog piece that already exists.

With a Bachelor's and Master's in Interior Design and a Bachelor's in Art, I know exactly what transfers from fine-art training to professional design work, and what doesn't. What I teach is the 20% that does all the heavy lifting in a real practice.

  • This is a replay of a live, 60-minute workshop. You'll sketch alongside me in real time, with clear demonstrations, gentle pacing, and built-in moments to ask questions.

    You'll need:

    • A pen or pencil you like

    • A piece of plain paper (any size)

    • A flat surface and a small slice of quiet

    That's it. No fancy supplies. No pre-work. No prerequisites.

  • Preferably, or very familiar with the industry. The course is created specifically for practicing interior designers, and the language, examples, and process are all based on real interior design work. If you’re not in the industry, parts of the course may feel unfamiliar or out of context.
